Luma Account deletion

Account deletion is available in the app and by email.

Users can delete their Luma account from inside the app. If they cannot access the app, they can also request deletion by contacting support from the email address linked to the account.

Delete inside the app

This is the main deletion flow and the fastest path for most users. It schedules deletion first instead of immediately erasing the account.

1. Open Settings

Go to Settings > Data Controls.

2. Choose Delete Account

Select Delete Account and confirm the action. The account enters a 3-day deletion window and can be restored by signing in again during that time.

3. Re-authenticate

For security, Luma may ask the user to confirm credentials before the request is scheduled.

If the app cannot be accessed

Email-based deletion remains available as a fallback support channel.

Send an email to support@luma-app.space from the address linked to the Luma account.

Include the account email address and a short statement confirming that the account should be deleted.

What is typically deleted

After the in-app 3-day deletion window, or after verification for support-assisted requests, we generally aim to delete or de-identify the app-account data tied to the user.

Profile and app content

This generally includes profile information, chats, memories, organizer items, notes, planner content, dictionary entries, Growth Hub content, and similar account-linked data unless retention is required for a valid reason.

What may still be retained?

Some limited categories may remain for fraud prevention, service security, chargebacks, billing disputes, tax, accounting, legal compliance, and enforcement of our policies or rights.

Does deletion instantly erase every operational log?

No. In-app deletion first keeps the account in deletion status for 3 days so it can be restored after an accidental request. Some backup copies or operational logs may also take longer to roll off, but the main account-linked data is processed as part of the deletion workflow after the window or verified support request.

Timing and support

In-app deletion stays recoverable for 3 days. If the user restores the account, deletion cannot be requested again for 1 day.

For in-app deletion, permanent deletion starts after the 3-day recovery window. For support-assisted requests, we aim to process verified deletion requests within 30 days, although some technical retention windows may be longer for backups, dispute handling, or legal obligations.
